Music Matters 2012 Room Shot

Music Matters 2012 was a tremendous success raising over $270,000 for Ravinia and REACH*TEACH*PLAY and attracting nearly 500 guests.

Music Matters 2013

A benefit to support Ravinia Festival and its REACH*TEACH*PLAY Education Programs

Music Matters is a black-tie benefit hosted every spring by the Ravinia Associates to raise money and awareness for Ravinia's REACH*TEACH*PLAY Education Programs. The 2013 event will take place on Saturday, May 4 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago. This exciting evening will feature live performances by students, silent and live auctions, raffle, dinner, dancing and a special presentation in honor of Ravinia Trustees Lois and Harrison Steans.

Proceeds from Music Matters help support the Ravinia Associates' three-part mission: to fund Ravinia's unparalleled REACH*TEACH*PLAY Education Programs; to support Ravinia's audience development initiatives through fund-raising and volunteer efforts; and to promote a city-wide awareness of Ravinia and its musical programs. Ravinia Festival's extensive REACH*TEACH*PLAY programs engage more than 75,00 Chicagoland students and community members annually in interactive, far-reaching free musical opportunities throughout the City of Chicago and Chicago Public School system. These programs have a specific focus on the geographic areas that suffer most severely from a lack of arts opportunities for young people.
