Every year, Ravinia plays host to the beauty of nature, the joy of great music,
and the harmony of satisfied audiences. We owe this, of course, to nature’s
cooperation and the talent of the performers, but we also recognize the generosity
of our sponsors, whose support helps us to bring these performers to Ravinia and
keep admission prices low. Corporate, foundation and individual sponsors have contributed
to bring you almost every performance this season, and we salute their ongoing efforts
to support the many performing arts institutions we enjoy in Chicago.

Midtown Athletic Clubs
According to my sister, everyone needs a library card and a membership to a health club. Sound mind, sound body. To that I'd add, everyone needs a little Ravinia in the summer. Growing up within blocks of Ravinia, I loved the music I heard on summer afternoons as the musicians rehearsed for each night's performance. The music helped shape the community and brought friends together on summer nights. At Midtown Athletic Clubs, we're committed to creating places that bring family and friends together to exercise, swim, play tennis, play basketball, dine, shop, relax and socialize with friends. Our clubs promote and support our members' active, healthy lifestyles and are engaging communities of fun people. Located in Bannockburn, Chicago, Oak Park, Palatine and Willowbrook, they are sports resorts right here at home. As a sponsor, Midtown takes pride in supporting the Ravinia Festival community as an extension of our belief that fit people are more fun. |

The Women’s Board of Ravinia Festival
Since 1962 the Women’s Board has promoted Ravinia through a wide range of initiatives, from enhancing audiences' enjoyment of the festival experience to furthering appreciation of music and the arts to educating young performers, gifted or simply enthusiastic. This broad-based mission of the Women's Board is accomplished through highly successful fundraising and the commitment of its dynamic volunteers.
This year the Women’s Board is proud to present pianist Lang Lang, who made his surprise debut at Ravinia in 1999, as the performer for the gala benefit evening, which will be held on Saturday, July 27. Contributions toward this event will help the Women's Board support Ravinia and its REACH*TEACH*PLAY educational programs. The gala enables Ravinia to continue its commitment to bringing music education to over 15,000 students and providing live performances and performance opportunities to nearly 75,000 individuals in the Chicago neighborhoods.
In addition, the Women's Board is honored to sponsor the August 4, 2013 concert featuring James Conlon, leading the Chicago Symphony orchestra in a Tchaikovsky Spectacular. |

In Honor of Sandra K. Crown
Sandy has always believed that "the arts are the implicit language of peace in the world, with Ravinia the shining star." When she was chairman of the Ravinia Women's Board, the board began to fundraise. Her children chose to honor her with a very generous gift to the endowment fund, in perpetuity. This gift helps support the August 22 Tony Bennett concert. |

In Memory of Robert S. Fremont
Ravinia has been a very important part of our summer experience. We are so pleased to sponsor the June 14 Benny Goodman Tribute in loving memory of Robert S. Fremont. At the age of fifteen, Bob began playing the clarinet professionally, and did so in a number of bands in the New York area. He went on to play the clarinet in Glenn Miller’s Air Force Band during World War II. Therefore, the Benny Goodman Tribute is a perfect concert to memorialize Bob and his lifelong love of music. |

Harriet and Harry H. Bernbaum, in Memory of Keren-Or Bernbaum
Our concert is given in memory of our daughter, Keren-Or Bernbaum, appropriately given the Hebrew name meaning “ray of light.” She illuminated the lives of all who knew her. Keren was an accomplished mezzo soprano, a founding member of Opera Manhattan, producing and performing in the American premieres of Renaldo Hahn’s “Le Marchand de Vinnise;” Faure’s “Pénélope;” Dukas’s “Ariane et Barbe-bleue;” Refice’s “Cecilia” and Handel’s “Amadigio,” in which she performed the title role. She was blessed with a wide range of talents: pianist, poet, potter and student of literature. Her life of forty five years was filled with music, art and beauty, a remarkable sense of humor and generosity of spirit. |

As lovers of American musical theater, an original American art form that was the genesis of cabaret and its splendor, we are honored to help bring the concert featuring Patricia Racette to Ravinia on June 22. Supporting Ravinia is a token of our appreciation for so many past years' enjoyment and an indication of what we anticipate for this and future years. |

The Avrum Gray Family, in Memory of Joyce Gray
Ravinia has been a part of the Gray family tradition for more than 60 years. Mae and Joe Gray started this tradition, often bringing family and friends to share their love for Ravinia. I first came to Ravinia as a boy in the ’40s, and loved it from the start. Ravinia is an undisputed cultural gem, with something for everyone. Over the years, Joyce and I brought that same love of Ravinia to our children, and now to our grandchildren. Among our favorite summer memories are those of coming to Ravinia on Sunday nights to picnic and enjoy music with our children and grandchildren. We are so fortunate to have this treasure in our backyard, and the Gray family is proud to support its programming. |

Diana and Bruce Rauner
Ravinia continues to provide enriching experiences and timeless memories for our family. We love to lie under the stars and listen to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra or sit up close for intimate and exquisite performances in the Martin Theatre. Music of all kinds is one of the great joys of our lives, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help others enjoy it. |

We are honored to sponsor the August 8th concert of legendary violinist, Itzhak Perlman. Ravinia has always been our summer 'home away from home'. Picnicking on the lawn with family and friends or sitting in the Pavilion enjoying the diverse talents of the world's most noted artists, the Ravinia Festival is a family treasure and tradition we are proud to share with the greater Chicago community. We look forward to Mr. Perlman's performance on August 8th and are pleased to support the efforts of the 2013 Ravinia Festival in bringing another spectacular summer under the stars for all to enjoy. |
