Summer Events
Ravinia’s main public parking area during the summer is the West Parking Lot at 201 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, IL.
- For the most accurate directions, enter “Ravinia West Parking Lot” as the destination in your map service or GPS. A search for “Ravinia” or “Ravinia Festival” may direct you to the middle of the park, which is not accessible by car!
For performances in Bennett Gordon Hall, unless otherwise noted, parking is available only in the South Parking Lot at 201 St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park, IL.
- Please consult the parking information provided on the event information page starting two weeks before the event for the most accurate information.
Prices
Passenger Vehicles and Motorcycles
- $25 for most events featuring non-classical artists, including dates with the Chicago Symphony or guest orchestras
- $10 for most Chicago Symphony or guest orchestra concerts, as well as events headlined on the Carousel Stage
- Free for classical chamber music concerts, Kids Concerts, and dance events
High-Occupancy and Larger Vehicles (e.g., buses, limousines, “Sprinter” vans)
- $75 for any event where passenger vehicle parking is paid
Fall/Winter/Spring Events
Ravinia’s main public parking area during the fall, winter, or spring varies by event venue.
- Please consult the parking information provided on the event information page starting two weeks before the event for the most accurate information.
Parking is free for all 2025 Fall Series and Winter Weekend performances.
Summer Events
When the West Parking Lot is filled, guests will be redirected to the surface lots and multi-level structure at the “Highland Park” Metra station in nearby downtown Highland Park.
The West Parking Lot can fill as quickly as one hour after opening. Guests arriving closer to the start of the concert are recommended to drive directly to the Park and Ride lots in downtown Highland Park.
- Avoid congestion on Lake Cook Road by turning north at Skokie Blvd. or exiting US Route 41 at Central Rd. to reach the Park and Ride lots. Read turn-by-turn directions
Park and Ride shuttle buses start running 30 minutes before the gates open at Ravinia and continue to operate throughout the evening.
- Wait times for buses can exceed 1 hour at peak times before and after the performance. Please plan extra time before and after the event.
Park and Ride operates for select performances only, depending on attendance. Availability is listed in the parking information on each event’s webpage starting two weeks before the performance.
- FREE and convenient bus ride to Ravinia Festival
- Buses are able to accommodate your picnic gear.
- Accessible buses are in service for guests with mobility disabilities.
Fall/Winter/Spring Events
Park and Ride shuttles and remote parking lots do not operate outside of the summer season.
Onsite parking can accommodate all guests at fall, winter, and spring performances.
Parking FAQs
Buses
Paid parking nights:
- No buses are allowed in the North Lot or South Lot, inclusive of those carrying customers with limited mobility and/or displaying a disability parking placard
- Drop off, pick-up and parking are available in the West Lot via the Green Bay and/or Blackstone entrances
- Wheelchair assistance is free and available in the West Lot
Free parking nights:
- Buses are allowed to drop-off and pick-up in any lot
- All bus parking is in the West Lot only
Drop-Offs / Rideshare
Taxis, limos and rideshare services must comply with the drop-off instructions below.
On most nights, patrons can be dropped off at the following locations, however Highland Park Police and Ravinia staff may need to redirect for various reasons. Please follow those instructions.
- West Parking Lot (201 Ravinia Park Rd) — inbound access allowed up to 30 minutes before the end of the performance
- Guests who have mobility disabilities should be dropped off at this location to receive assistance from Ravinia’s service staff.
- Braeside Train Station (10 N. St. Johns Ave) — ¼ mile walk from Ravinia
- Ravinia Train Station (680 St. Johns Ave) — ½ mile walk from Ravinia
- No drop-offs or pick-ups are allowed on public streets.
For Fall/Spring Series:
- Dropoffs are permitted in the South Lot located at 201 St. Johns Ave for all Fall/Spring Series concerts.
Donor (Opus level and above) Drop-Offs
Taxis, limos and rideshare services must comply with the drop-off instructions below. Guests using these services must present the appropriate credentials to gain access to the Priority Parking Lots.
Donors holding a Priority Parking Pass can be dropped off at the following locations, however Highland Park Police and Ravinia staff may need to redirect for various reasons. Please follow those instructions.
- South Priority Parking Lot — inbound access allowed up to 30 minutes before the end of the performance
- North Priority Parking Lot — inbound access allowed up to 30 minutes before the end of the performance
