Supporting Music Education

All proceeds benefit Ravinia and our Reach Teach Play programs, which serve over 20,000 students annually in Lake and Cook Counties year-round. Ravinia opens doors to the positive impact of music through Reach Teach Play, providing children and families in underserved schools and communities with live performances and music education programs where they learn and live, as well as at Ravinia.

Honoring Music Education’s Leaders

In addition to raising money and awareness for Ravinia’s music education programs, Music Matters annually recognizes inspirational philanthropic and educational leaders. In 2025, the Associates honor Ravinia Trustee Audrey L. Weaver for her generous, lifelong dedication to supporting Ravinia, especially the festival’s performances and the Reach Teach Play music education and community engagement programs.

2025 Honoree Audrey L. Weaver

Born in Chicago and later raised in Highland Park and Winnetka, Audrey spent her summers as a young child gathered with her family on Ravinia’s lawn to enjoy the world’s greatest musicians. Throughout her life, she has been a tremendous supporter of all facets of Ravinia’s mission, from the Reach Teach Play and Steans Institute programs to memorable concert and Ravinia Music Box experiences, as well as foundational initiatives like the Building the Future of Reach Teach Play campaign. Most recently, she has emerged as a leader of Ravinia’s current Setting the Stages campaign, ensuring that the park’s ability to present best-in-class music experiences will be advanced and maintained for generations to come. We look forward to celebrating her at the park that she has enriched as home.
